Under the patronage and attendance of Professor Abdel Aziz Tantawi, President of New Valley University, and under the supervision of Professor Mustafa Mahmoud, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector; Professor Hassan Abdel Latif, former Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Ahmed Sayed Harbawy, former Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Advisor to the President for Institutional Development; and Professor Mahmoud Zakhira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University. The event was attended by a group of medical professors from Egyptian universities, deans of faculties, vice deans, faculty members, auxiliary bodies, members of the House of Representatives and Senate, the Head of the Doctors Syndicate, the university's media advisor, and students. A number of pharmaceutical and medical drug companies specializing in women's health also participated. The Faculty of Medicine at New Valley University organized the fourth annual scientific conference entitled "Women's Health: The Essence of Development and Sustainability" in the conference hall of the Electronic Testing Center at the university's new headquarters. In a speech delivered on his behalf by Professor Dr. Ahmed Sayed Harbawi, former Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Advisor to the President for Institutional Development, the President welcomed the conference guests, including faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine, as well as the sponsoring and supporting companies. He stated that women are one of the most important contributors to achieving sustainable development, and their role is no less important than that of men in supporting efforts towards sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030. Professor Dr. Hassan Abdel Latif, former Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Medical Advisor to New Valley University, emphasized that women are the core of society, and that if we can develop or change women's behavior, we can change the behavior of the family, including society. He stated that women's health represents an intertwining of science and information related to women's general health. The importance of women's health and caring for them stems not only from caring for their own health, but also because Women's health impacts the family. Women are the pillars of the family, and the health of the entire family, from husband to children, depends on them.In his speech, Professor Mahmoud Dakhira, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at New Valley University and Chair of the Conference, emphasized that the conference falls within the framework of the political leadership's interest in supporting the health of Egyptian women, expanding the provision of healthcare programs for women at all age levels, enhancing the protection of women from any harmful practices, providing targeted health services for women in remote areas, and expanding the provision of health services for women to address their health, including anemia, heart disease, genetic diseases, and cancer.He stated that the conference includes a series of scientific sessions in which a group of medical professors from Egyptian universities participated, to learn about the latest developments related to women's health in various scientific disciplines.At the conclusion of the conference, a number of distinguished figures were honored, along with doctors and professors from the faculties of medicine participating in the activities of the Fourth Annual Scientific Conference at New Valley University.
