Based on the directives of Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Tantawi, President of New Valley University, Professor Dr. Walid Senussi, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at New Valley University, offered several tips for citizens when choosing a sacrificial animal as Eid al-Adha approaches.The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine stated in a statement that a healthy sacrificial animal must be free of skin or respiratory diseases or emaciation, must not be lame, blind, or visibly ill, and must be well-fed before slaughter and show no signs of lethargy, diarrhea, or aversion to food.The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine added that the sacrificial animal must be examined before slaughter, preferably by a veterinarian to ensure it is free of parasites, swelling, wounds, or abscesses.He stated that this advice falls within the framework of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at New Valley University's role in serving the community and developing the environment.
