The third scientific conference for young researchers at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at New Valley University was launched under the title "Sports Sciences and National Security in Light of Contemporary Challenges."

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Tantawy, President of New Valley University, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sayed Harbawy, former Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and University Advisor for Institutional Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Hassan, former Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the Third Scientific Conference for Young Researchers was launched at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, New Valley University, under the title "Sports Sciences and National Security in Light of Contemporary Challenges", in the presence of Dr. Kamal Darwish, Chairman of the Scientific Committee and Advisor to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorary Chairman of the Conference, and in the presence of Dr. Hussein Al-Samri, Executive Director of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, Dr. Sobhi Hassanein, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Sports Activities, and Dr. Fathi Neda, Head of the Syndicate of Athletes in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the participation of a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a number of Arab countries, and with the participation of the deans of the faculties of sports sciences in Egyptian universities, faculty members and students in the faculties of Sports Sciences at the University in the presence of the University's Media Advisor. In his speech, Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Tantawi, President of the University, welcomed the conference guests, including the deans of the faculties of sports sciences, faculty members, assistant staff, and researchers from postgraduate studies, thanking the journalists and media professionals. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to preparing the conference in a manner befitting this major event. He wished the conference success and to come up with recommendations befitting this distinguished academic event that brings together those who possess academic and field experience at the same time. The attendees also expressed their happiness to participate in this sports conference and contribute to this sporting and scientific event at New Valley University. Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University, said that the conference comes in line with the affirmations of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, that sports are an Egyptian national security, praising the initiatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to support young people and encourage them to practice sports. He said that the conference addresses many important topics and sessions to highlight the role of sports sciences in Egyptian national security in light of contemporary challenges, adding that the conference topics include sports and sustainable development - school sports - Sports Economics, Sports Marketing and Sports Movement Sciences, Sports, Artificial Intelligence, and Paralympic Sports, in addition to Sports Rehabilitation, Modern Sports Training, Sports Evaluation and Measurement, Psychological Studies, Applied Statistics in the Humanities, School Sports as National Security, Sports Training and Artificial Intelligence, The Role of Sports Economics in National Security, Sports Health and Psychological Care for People of Determination. The second session addressed the best scientific research from master's and doctoral theses in the research field, emphasizing the continued implementation of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's initiative to focus on youth, and that sports are a soft power for reaching young people.
